Jill Weintraub Lewin
Founder
Jill (Weintraub) Lewin founded JL Advisors in 2022 after nearly a decade of working with auction houses, advisors, curators, dealers, artists, cultural institutions, and the world’s top collectors. She began her career in the art market at Sotheby’s New York in the Traveling Exhibitions and Shipping & Logistics department where she oversaw and managed complex logistics for the North and South American regional teams.
In 2017, Jill joined Art Agency Partners, a leading global art advisory, under the direction of Amy Cappellazzo and Allan Schwartzman. While at Art Agency Partners, Jill specialized in Collection Development and Management for private collectors, museums, artists, public commissions, and special projects. In 2020, Jill rejoined Sotheby’s as an Assistant Vice President for Amy Cappellazzo and the Global Fine Art department, where she oversaw high-value appraisals and proposals, and provided individual client support. Most recently, Jill was an Assistant Vice President, Client Strategist for the Contemporary Art, Private Sales, Gallery & Dealers, Online, NFT, and Latin American departments at Sotheby’s. During her time working at the highest levels of both Sotheby’s and Art Agency Partners, Jill developed a breadth of expertise in areas of the primary and secondary art market.
Jill received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from McGill University and holds a Master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
